Michael Potente receives Galenus-von-Pergamon Award
On October 20, 2016, Priv.-Doz. Dr. Michael Potente received the 2016 Galenus-von-Pergamon Award for his advancement of pharmacological research. The award in the category “basic research” honored his groundbreaking work on the regulation of blood vessel growth in physiology and disease states.
The Galenus von Pergamon Prize is awarded every year to promote pharmacological research. It is divided into a prize for basic research and three prizes for drug innovations. The award for basic research is given for outstanding scientific achievements outside of the pharmaceutical industry.
